Can you have too much cupcake fun?
Really, is anyone supposed to have this much fun at work. Here we are with this great group of cupcakers from Huntington Long Island. They cam to Manhassett to take our class at Sur La Table. That's Dianne in front, Karen, Kim, Alan, JoAnne, and Vickie, with Bill, Becky, and Bruce at the back. We had so much fun making ducks, pies, lo mein noodles and more with you guys. Hope to see all of you at another class soon.
Keep on cupcaking,
Alan and Karen

I might have dreamed this.....but I thought I saw a segment you did on the today show where you make cute shoes and purses. Did I dream this or did you? I would like to do it for my daughter's glamour girl birthday party.

We designed those especially for bobbie Thomas (the style editor at the TODAY Show) and have been working on perfecting them for our next book. Keep a watch for the new book, we are sure your daughter will want to make them for her birthday. A short description, we used two cupcakes, we removed the wrapper from one, inverted it, and 'glued' it to the top of the other using frosting. Next we chilled them and then dipped them in melted frosting following the instructions in either Hello, Cupcake! or what's New, Cupcake? Finally we gave them some fashionable details like fringe, bows, straps. and patterns using candy and frosting. Have fun and happy birthday to your daughter.
All the best,
Alan and Karen
