South Beach cupcakes and sand and sun!

We had such a great time in South Beach for the SOBE Wine and Food Festival. We were there with our friends from Jelly Belly and spent all day Sunday shaking Jelly Belly Cupcake Cocktails. The crowd was huge (8000 I think) and ready to party, and from our post we could see the azure waves of the Atlantic and cobalt blue sky all afternoon. Did I say we were making cupcakes on the beach? It was amazing! Take a look at some of our photos.

Happy cupcaking!

It took a  long reach to get cupcakes into the display cases!

Popcorn and Christmas Trees from Jelly Belly jellybeans.

A fan browses through a copy of What's New, Cupcake? while Alan explains how to make a Jelly Bally cocktail cupcake!

Hard at work teaching the Hello, Cupcake! way to decorate with candy.

We had a blast. Hope to see you there next year!

    Absolutely amazing!!

My 10yr old daughter loves recreating your masterpieces! She was diagnosed with Celiac Disease so she uses your 3D creations with her gluten free recipes to teach her peers about how eating can be fun and tasty too, even though there may be challenges.

Looks like you have a new book!! Did we miss a big release?? And, do you ever plan on visiting the Pacific Northwest?

I am thrilled to hear your daughter has adapted the design to meet the challenges of Celiac disease. Adaptation is exactly what we hope folks will do with our recipes, we call it the Candy Swap! We do have a new book coming out April 1st. It is called What's New, Cupcake? and I think your daughter will find lots of fun new designs to adapt. We do not currently have plans on coming to the Pacific Northwest but I have lots of friends in both Portland and Seattle so hopefully we will get there soon. We are teaching at a lot of Sur La Table locations this year so request us at a store near you. All the best and happy cupcaking!

I saw them on your blog and thought they looked fantastic, I especially liked the big tall popcorn box you used.

      Keep on cupcaking,
      Alan
