Tending the Cupcake Bar
Karen and I had such a great time tending the cupcake bar at the M&M World Times Square cupcake event.
We had over 300 cupcakes, dozens of tubs of frosting, and all of the M&M candy in the store available to us. We frosted cupcakes and taught hundreds of people how to decorate Hello, Cupcakes! Karen was on dog duty with the Westies at her end of the bar and I handled pest control making the Creepy Crawlers at my end. The crowd had just emptied from the afternoon matinées at the surrounding Broadway theaters and everyone was hungry for a cupcake. Our friends from Cupcakes Take the Cake were the first on line, and cupcake pros that they are, they made some terrific pups and bugs. Before long the line to make cupcakes snaked through the entire first floor of the store. We made a lot of new cupcaking friends, introduced tons of NYC Times Square visitors to our style of cupcaking, and made a lot of locals happy too. Everyone had a terrific time; we couldn't have been happier.
Below that's me topping a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting. In the back Karen is explaining how to make the head of a Westie using a marshmallow for the snout.

Keep on cupcaking!

What a fun day!
Were 300 cupcakes enough?

Barely, I think we had just enough extra cupcakes to feed the M&M store employees, who were fantastic and took such great care of us all afternoon. They seemed to have enjoyed the event as much as we did. Thanks for writing and...
