Adopt These Cupcake Kitties
Hi Alan and Karen,
Sooo we went on a hunt to get the hellocupcake book searching several book stores (found it at Barnes & Noble). Tiffany (my daughter) and I were so excited while looking at all of the amazing options of cupcakes that we decided to make the kittens since we adopted two kitties a few months ago.
We had sooo much fun decorating the cupcakes. I must admit that I am definitely not a craft-type person but these came out INCREDIBLE. See the attached pics.

Hi Bernadette,
They certainly are incredible. I wonder if you used the zip lock bag technique in Hello, Cupcake! for the frosting and chocolate, because yours turned out beautifully. You guys have a real talent for fur and fish bones. Did you make them look like your new kitties? Please send us more photos of cupcakes, we love seeing them.
Keep on cupcaking!

Yes, we used the ziploc technique and were impressed with how easy the entire process was. And we loved the mint chocolate boxed cupcake recipe!

I have this book but whenever I try to make the cupcakes which require fancy frosting work the frosting doesn't hold its shape. I just can't seem to find a perfect frosting recipe (the ones in the book are all "almost home-made" and require stuff I can't get my hands on) I was wondering if you could share the frosting recipe

When we need frosting to hold its shape we always use Duncan Hines Creamy Homestyle. Other frostings do not hold their shape as well. Sometimes if it is a hot day or humid even our favorite frosting tends to wilt. We do our best to keep the frosting cool. Work with a small amount at a time so your hands don't heat up the frosting. Return it to the refrigerator to cool it down. And work in a cool room.
All the best and...
Keep on cupcaking
