Getting Personal with Slumber Party Cupcakes!

I was cruising the web the other day and happened upon this terrific blog that had Sleepover Cupcakes that looked like the Slumber Party from Hello, Cupcake! The blog is Megan's Corner and Megan had made the Slumber Party Cupcakes for her nieces and nephews. She is so clever she even personalized the cupcakes by making them look like the party guests. She writes on her blog about making the Slumber Party Cupcakes:

Today I made my first batch of amazing cupcakes (from Hello, Cupcake!) and they turned out even better than I was expecting. I did the "slumber party" for a sleep over my mom is going to have tomorrow with a few of my nieces and nephews. I made a replica of each person. The blankets are made of Starbursts and the heads of each person is a vanilla wafer. It was a blast -- though a little time consuming. And truthfully speaking, I doubt the little kids will even care.   Megan's Corner

I bet they did care, in fact I bet they really loved them. Take a look below and see how Megan turned them into personal portraits. She even worked up a portrait of Grandpa. Thanks for letting us show your cupcakes Megan. Hope you make some more soon, be sure to send us photos.

and finally Grandpa with his gray hair
Here's the whole party. Hope everyone got a good night's sleep after all that sugar!

Keep on cupcaking!

These cupcakes were absolutely adorable. I have made a sheet cake slumber party cake and all the guests are snuggling together, but this is a cute alternative. I used Twinkies for the bodies. What did you use for the bodies?

We used marshmallows under the fruit chew blankets to make the little bodies of our sleeping guests. We also used the other half of the marshmallow to make the little pillows under their vanilla wafer heads.

    Glad you liked them.
    Happy cupcaking,
