April Fool's Day Cupcakes

Tomorrow is our favorite holiday of the year, we love April Fool's Day so much we celebrate it all year!

April Fool's Day is a perfect day to play a trick and make cupcakes to fool the eye. We especially like to make faux food cupcakes. In Hello, Cupcake! we have created some real rib tickling-cupcakes like corn-on-the-cob cupcakes, spaghetti and meatballs cupcakes, pizza cupcakes, TV dinner cupcakes, and bagel with lox cupcakes.       She was really great and we had a lot of fun with her, especially making the corn on the cob. We loved it when she started making a Silver Queen Corn on the Cob cupcake with all white jelly beans...it was so Martha to know just which corn would be the sweetest!

    April Fool’s Day was never a big issue for me as a gamer because I always knew exactly when a blog, site, or magazine was trying to fool me. Everytime April 1st rolls around, all I have to do is look for the stories that sound too good (or sometimes bad, Rotten Tomatoes reported yesterday that there was going to be a Titanic 2!) to be true. I can also tell if it’s a joke if the story has that “fake” vibe to it, like IGN’s cheesy trailer for The Legend of Zelda movie.

    Hi Rose,

    I think that is exactly why we love April Fools Day so much. It gives us a chance to indulge in a lot of harmless tom foolery that tickles our funny bones and makes us smile. In such a complicated world thank goodness for the simple pleasures of fun with family and friends.
